PE Learning

Can I perform a variety of yoga poses with control?

Click on the Introduction for the details of today's lesson.

Warm-Up: Working on our core strength is so important in all sports we play. This plank warm-up will certainly test you and get you ready for today's activity. If you’re feeling extra energetic see if you can go through the exercises twice.

Learning Task: Yoga Poses. These yoga poses will help develop your flexibility, strength and mindfulness. Try to spend a couple of minutes on each pose, hold yourself as still as possible and really focus on all the parts of your body. This is not as easy as it looks!

This 15 minute routine will certainly get you working hard. Focus on every part of your body as you go through the various poses.

If you’re looking for an alternative activity, try the Virtual Home Learning section of the Primary PE Blog. You will find lots of different activities which will keep you active. Alternatively, why not take advantage of any outside space to enjoy some outdoor activity such as riding your bike, swimming or playing some outdoor games (don't forget to check the air quality first). It’s fun to play! Try to record your activity on “The Road to Tokyo” website too.
