Timestableathon!

Year 3 Times Tables-athon, Friday 22nd April

This week our Student Council introduced our Year 3 charity initiative.

They need to choose which times tables they want to practice:

  • 2, 5, 10 times tables
  • 3, 4, 8 times tables
  • 6, 7, 9 times tables
  • a mixture of all your timetables

On Friday 22nd April, they will have 4 minutes to answer as many times tables questions as they can.

Please help them to gather sponsorships. They can either be sponsored for each correct answer or a set overall amount.

All money raised will go towards supporting our Year 3 charity; Thomas House in Chiang Mai.

Please help your child to continue practicing their times tables at home.

Global Citizenship

During our assembly this week the children found out about Miss Thew's trip to Anatarctica. The children have been encouraged to think of their small steps they could make to help combat global warming. Whilst on holiday they may wish to take part in a beach clean up or help with the recycling. If you have the chance to take any photos of the children helping with environmental issues we would love to see them.

Learning

After Songkran we will be starting a new unit of learning called Mighty Metals. Please visit our

Primary PE and Swimming Notice

Swimming lessons continue after the holiday!

Please make sure your child has their school swimming kit (named), towel, goggles and swimming hat (if hair is longer than shoulder length)

Dance Camp!

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to the Y3 students celebrating their birthday next week:

Kayla and  Barnaby 3C,

Maya and Ricky 3D,

Ilyas 3J, Keira 3K, Anna 3M, Vivaan 3P and Sebastian 3W!

We hope you have a super day!

We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:

- Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in by your child - please note teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to give out.

- No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.

- No candles

Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if your child will be bringing in treats for their birthday.
