Y3 Newsletter 14.11.25

Mythical creatures are being created all over Y3 at the moment!

A note from the Principal

It has been a very full week across the Patana campus with a three-day visit from CIS, our accreditation body. Wendy and Damien spent time in many of our classrooms and met with a wide range of stakeholders as part of this pre-accreditation process. Their early feedback has been very encouraging, and we now look forward to receiving the formal report.

Back on the ground, I thoroughly enjoyed our Year 1 and Year 2 assembly on Friday. It was a joy to share the story of Wilma Rudolph, whose courage and resilience led her to become the ‘fastest woman on earth’ at the 1960 Olympic Games.

Have a great weekend

External Competitions that fall on a school day

At Patana, we have many students who excel in their external hobbies and interests.

When they practice hard, and demonstrate resilience and perseverance, they may be selected for competition.

If you have a child who is invited to compete, whether locally and internationally, we will support your child’s endeavours.

However, we do ask that parents give the class teacher/tutor sufficient notice of their absence from school.

Many of our lessons require group collaboration, and this will help teachers to plan accordingly.
