Well-being
Friendships
From time to time, the children inevitably will fall out with each other and this is completely normal. In class, we use Peaceful Problem Solving to talk through and find solutions to friendship problems. During this time each child speaks about what has happened and finds ways to solve the issue. This is part of the cycle of a healthy friendship, please see below. The children find it very reassuring that friendship problems are a normal part of life which can be resolved in a calm and respectful manner.
Fostering Independence
Please can you ensure you say goodbye to your child outside the Y3 building in the morning. The children are quite used to this now and this routine enables them to come into class and settle into their daily routines independently.

PE
A polite reminder that students require sports shoes / trainers for PE lessons, which are different to their school shoes. This applies even if their School shoes are black trainers.
Music
The
Primary Music Department are very excited to announce the first ever “Primary
Performance Week” will be happening from 6th-16th October. Anyone who is
learning a musical instrument will be able to sign up to perform in the new
shared performance space in front of a small audience. The event will happen
during the normally timetabled music lesson and children can sign up with their
music teacher in the next couple of weeks.
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to share their talents, build confidence and perform in front of a small, supportive audience. Although we are not able to welcome parents to these events at this time, we will be recording performances and will be able to share these with you.
Should you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Mr Charlie chmc@patana.ac.th
Musician of the Month
This month we are celebrating the music of Celia Cruz and our video of the week is one of Celia’s most famous salsa songs:

Global Citizenship
