A note from the Principal

2 May 2025

A real highlight for the Primary team this week was Thursday’s CPL Day – a dedicated time for our teachers and teaching assistants to come together to reflect, learn and grow. With keynote talks on sustainable product design and the impact of social media, technology updates, time to explore our new report guidance, and a chance to showcase staff professional development, it was a valuable and energising day for all involved.

Looking ahead, we are looking forward to seeing our wonderful Year 6 students take to the stage in their showstopping performance of Aladdin next week. It promises to be a fantastic celebration of their hard work, talent and teamwork.

Wishing you all a relaxing long weekend – we look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday.

Swimming

We’re happy to see our Year 3 students back in the pool and enjoying their swimming lessons. Swimming is a key part of the curriculum — not just for fitness and enjoyment, but as a vital life skill, especially here in Thailand where water-based activities are a big part of everyday life.

We kindly ask for your full support in encouraging your child to take part in swimming. Positive conversations at home can make a big difference, especially if your child is feeling uncertain or anxious. Consistent participation helps build confidence and competence.

If your child is unable to swim for medical reasons, please provide a doctor’s note. For any questions, feel free to contact the PE department at jaju@patana.ac.th.

Save the date! The Year 3 Swimming Gala will take place in the 25m pool on Thursday 5 June, from 10:00am to 12:10pm. More details to follow.
