Welcome back everyone!
It has been wonderful to see the school campus filled with smiling faces eager to see their friends and teachers again. It has been truly wonderful to have the classrooms filled with laughter once again after such a long break.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to the new families who joined us and we look forward to helping you all settle in very quickly.

Well-Being
This week we have spent plenty of time reconnecting with our friends and teachers, and most importantly, having fun!
We have had such a super start to the year - we are so impressed with the way that the children have come in so positively and been so engaged and excited to be here.
Thank you so much for supporting us with this.
A few reminders
- Please ensure your child has a spare mask in their bags just in case theirs breaks or gets lost.
- Hats - your child needs a hat to access all the play areas and for PE lessons.
- Water bottles
- Naming property - Please put your child's name and class code on all their uniform, shoes, hats and water bottles to ensure a safe return if they get left behind!
Learning
Welcome to the Learning presentations
We would usually do this in person and invite everyone in to school. However, in line with our current social distancing measures, we will be sharing a presentation with you on Wednesday 28th August. This will be via a screencast video which you will be able to watch on the class blogs. A notification will be sent to you via email.
Junk modelling
Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot accept and recycling from home for junk modelling. Thanks very much to those who have tried to send things in.
The Term One Curriculum
We will be getting to know the children over the next two weeks through the PSHE theme of ‘Growth Mindset’. We will be reading the story of 'The Dot' by Peter H Reynolds and creating our own versions of the story as well as engaging in many other PSHE and Art activities.
Our other focus will be settling the children in as they transition from Year One by helping them move around the school, meet their new specialist teachers, and grow in independence.
ORT Home reading books
The children will be changing their reading books every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The children will be given a reading book based on their stage from Year 1. The teachers will be assessing reading over the next few weeks to ensure your child has the appropriate level for the year ahead.
Global Citizenship
Again we welcome to all our new families in school.
Watch this space for more GC events as the year progresses!
