Cook Book!

Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,

I am happy to say that the cookbook that we started last year is finally done! After a lot of hard work and effort, we managed to select the best 80 recipes and design a lovely book.
Now it’s time to share it with you and your family. This may also be a perfect gift for friends and family with the Christmas holidays just around the corner.

For anyone who would like to purchase a book, please fill out the Google form (https://forms.gle/WrNx5So62VnSDW4XA) with your correct details by the 24^th of November. The books will then be printed and prepared for pick up. To collect the book/s that you pre-order, you, your child or any supporting adult can go to the Primary School Office with the correct amount of money.

Ideally the books will be ready for pick up around the 2^nd of December, however a confirmed date will be shared when the books are ready.

There is a copy on display in the primary school office that you can view before deciding to buy one for yourself.

The price for each book will be 300 thb which will cover the printing costs and support the donation that we will be giving to the local daycare near our school, Thong Pai. To ensure that one complete donation can be made, it would be best for all the books to be collected before the end of the 1^st term (13^th December). Therefore, I kindly ask you to adhere to the deadline.

Sharing of snacks after school - Please can we remind parents that the sharing of snacks is not allowed in the primary school, including after school. This is to ensure all our student's are kept safe, as we have a number of students with potentially critical allergies. Many thanks for your support.

Nut free Primary School - For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening. We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days. Thank you for your understanding.

PE and Jewellery -  A polite reminder that during PE and swimming lessons, all jewellery including watches are removed. The PE staff will keep the items safe and return them to the students at the end of the lesson. Earrings should be removed or covered with tape.

The Young Americans - International School Bangkok will be hosting workshops in music, dance and performance to students from 6 to 18 years old. The workshops are offering by the Young Americans on 25 – 26 January 2020. For more detail, please click here.

Parent Home Language Helpers - We are looking for parents who would like to be Home Language Helpers (PHLH). The PHLH will help to create opportunities for learners to experience their Home Language within their learning. This means that you could volunteer to use your Home Language to read a book with learners who speak the same language, or to spend time in the learning environment exploring and discovering in your native tongue. Global Citizenship

The Prostheses Foundation of Thailand We would like to ask for families to collect 'ring pulls' and bring these into school. You can either deliver them to the drop-off point in the primary office or send them in to your child's teacher. The organisation uses ring pull donations to purchase a higher grade, more flexible material made from aluminium and steel to make artificial limbs. This process meets the international standard ISO 10328 for artificial limbs and ensures that the durability of the prosthetic is increased and patient safety is improved.
