Well-Being

Playgrounds After School

Please be aware that our playgrounds are not for use before or after school. Please do not let your child play on them. If you have helpers pick up your child, please explain to them that the children are not allowed to use the playground at all.

We do not want any accidents so your support with this is much appreciated.

Birthday celebrations are back!

We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:

  • Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in either at the start of the day or the end of the day
  • No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.

· No candles

· The birthday treats must be individual portions – teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to be given out.

Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if you will be bringing in treats for your child’s birthday.

Learning

Loi Kratong

Students are invited to come to school dressed in traditional dress on this day. If you need some guidance on where to find a Thai outfit for this, you can shop online at Shopee children Thai costume. If you prefer to look for things in person, Pratunam area , Tesco, Big C or small shops at local markets are worth exploring.

Primary Performance Week

The Primary Music Department is very excited to announce the first “Primary Performance Week” will be happening from 6th-16th October.

This is an opportunity for students who are having lessons on a musical instrument to share a short performance with their class. For Years 1-2 to this will happen in their normal class music lesson.

Children do not need to sign up, they should simply bring their music and instrument to the class on the timetabled day.

Please see below for the timetable of performances:

Tuesday 6th 1M, 1J, 1P, 1W, 2A, 2B,

Monday 12th 1B, 1K, 1T, 2J

(Tuesday 13th October is a holiday)

Wednesday 14th 1R, 2L

Thursday 15th 2K, 2S, 2N

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to share their talents, build confidence and perform in front of a small, supportive audience. Unfortunately on this occasion we will not be able to accommodate parents.

PTG Reps and Get Togethers

If you would like to get in touch with the PTG, we have a Primary representative and a Year 2 representative. Their contact details are as follows:

Mobile Phone Reminder

No students in Primary are permitted to have a mobile phone in school. If you need to get in touch with your child, please call the Primary Office- 02 7852258. If you are wanting to use the GPS function of the phone to track your child, please use a tracker in their bag instead.

School shoes

As part of their Patana school uniform, our students wear plain black shoes with no coloured trim.

If your child is still coming to school in coloured trainers or shoes, please purchase plain black school shoes over the half term break.

Shoes should support healthy foot growth.

All shoes require at least a strap to keep the shoe firmly in place. No ballet pumps.

Children can wear lace-ups if they can tie up their laces independently.

Plain black school shoes can be sourced in many shops and department stores.

If your child has to wear other shoes for a specific reason, please let us know.

These photographs are all examples of suitable plain black shoes.
