Y2 Newsletter 12.11.21

Welcome to our first Y2 newsletter of this academic year, this will replace our weekly letter and will include lots of useful information for you. Please take 5 minutes to read through it each week.

We are kind, compassionate and respectful.

Thank-you for supporting our charity event, Friendship Friday, today. We had a lovely day and have made some friendship pebbles or bracelets as well as an online assembly where we learnt more about our Y2 charity. The funds Y2 raised today will go towards our chosen year group charity Children of the Forest. THANK YOU.

Global Citizenship

Loy Krathong – 19^th November

Next Friday, students are invited to wear Thai clothing or traditional dress for Loy Krathong. We cannot have the usual big celebration but we will still ensure that the students learn about Loy Krathong in their Thai lessons next week. Please remember if your child has P.E on a Friday that they need to be able to be active during this lesson so think carefully about what would be suitable clothing. 

Reminders

Just a reminder that Phase 2 of sign up for our ECA's closes on Monday 15th November and that Block 2 will start on Monday 22nd November.

Please can we ask that any iPads you have still at home from CSL are returned on Monday so that we can start to use them in school - we are still missing a significant number.

Birthday celebrations

If you would like to send in some birthday treats for your child to share with their class, please arrange a day with your child's class teacher. We will only be able to manage individual items like brownies, doughnuts or cupcakes. Please remember we are a nut free Primary School. Your child's class teacher will try to take a photo to share with you.
