Living our school values:

We are Global Citizens!

This week we celebrated Loy Krathong! We made Krathongs, floated them in the ponds around school and learnt all about the importance of this festival in Thai Culture.

We also thorough enjoyed sharing our learning during the student conferences. Thank you to all those who came to support the children.

A note from the Principal

This week truly epitomised our strategic theme of we are unique.

From our Loy Krathong celebrations on Tuesday; our country spotlight stalls; and a Y3 – Y6 assembly on diversity and inclusion, you could really get a sense of what a special place Patana is.

On Thursday, students had the opportunity to share their unique learning journey in our parent-teacher meetings and 3-way conferences. How marvelous it was to witness students proudly showcasing their progress across all subjects and specialisms; taking time to enjoy our beautiful campus, and engaging with all the teaching staff special to them. I have never seen a more wonderful example of connecting students, teachers, and parents together

Proud of you Patana!

PE - Swimming Lessons

The swimming team have been busy planning fun, active and engaging lessons for our KS1 students. This a reminder that our swimming lessons are an important part of our curriculum, especially for physical development, water confidence, and water safety.

If for any reason your child cannot swim, please inform your class teacher, and include a medical note so that they can inform Miss Zoe (PE curriculum lead) and the swim team.

Should you have any concerns about your child's swimming please do contact us and we can arrange a meeting with Miss Zoe to discuss these concerns further.

From the ICT Team

Dear Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you during the 3-way conference open day and we hope you got a glimpse as to what the children get up to in their IT lessons each week.

As there were so many visitors, we were not able to speak to everyone, so if you do have any questions, please feel free to email me.

International Day - Tuesday 15th November

On Tuesday 15th November, we will celebrate International Day at Bangkok Patana School. Our community is proud of their international heritage and this is a highlight of our calendar. On this special day, students, staff and parents are invited to either wear their country colours or national dress. Throughout the day, our students will be involved in the following activities and parents are welcome to join us!

7.50am: Parade

Students must go to their classrooms/Tutor bases for registration and then proceed to the Primary Back Field. Students, staff and participating parents will gather in allocated areas (by country groups) by 7.50am to commence the parade of nations. The parade will go to the Sports Hall.

8.55am: Sports Hall – Cultural Show

Country groups will enter the Sports Hall and follow the directions of the staff who will allocate a seating area. Parents are requested to move to the balcony upstairs or alternatively watch a live feed of the show from the Primary Hall. We ask that you follow instructions carefully. After the Cultural Show, students will return to their regularly scheduled classes.

Food Hall

Students will visit the Food Hall with their classes throughout the morning. Parents who are in school may visit the Food Hall from 1.00pm – 1.30pm.

For further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Country Reps. Here is a link to the contact and names of the PTG country reps.
