Well-being

Using the toilet at school

If your child is not yet too confident with cleaning themselves after using the toilet, please can you provide opportunities for them to practice this independently at home?  We are really trying to encourage them to use the toilet when they need to rather than holding it in till they get home but some have shared that they do not feel that confident with wiping or spraying.  If you know that your child still finds this tricky, please pack a change of underwear and uniform in their bag as well.

Optional afternoon snack before the bus

As students currently cannot eat on the bus, you are welcome to send in a snack that they can eat in class in the afternoon before they get on the bus. We will provide a window of time each day where they can eat this snack before their bus journey. Please remember that we are a nut free school and remind your child that they cannot share their snack with anyone.

Learning

The Primary Music Department is very excited to announce the first “Primary Performance Week” will be happening from 6th-16th October.

This is an opportunity for students who are having lessons on a musical instrument to share a short performance with their class. For Years 1-2 to this will happen in their normal class music lesson.

Children do not need to sign up, they should simply bring their music and instrument to the class on the timetabled day.

Please see below for the timetable of performances:

Tuesday 6th 1M, 1J, 1P, 1W, 2A, 2B,

Monday 12th 1B, 1K, 1T, 2J

(Tuesday 13th October is a holiday)

Wednesday 14th 1R, 2L

Thursday 15th 2K, 2S, 2N

Friday 16th 2M

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to share their talents, build confidence and perform in front of a small, supportive audience. Unfortunately on this occasion we will not be able to accommodate parents.

Should you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Mr Charlie chmc@patana.ac.th

Global Citizenship

We are delighted that we can once again help with your recycling and accept items from home for our junk modelling boxes.  We appreciate boxes, cardboard rolls, containers of all shapes and sizes and anything else that you know will spark creativity.  Please ensure that things are rinsed and clean.

Thanks so much for your support!

School shoes

Students wear black shoes that support the whole foot and allow them to be active. School shoes require at least a thick strap to keep the shoe firmly in place. Children can wear lace-ups if they can tie up their laces independently.

Students are asked to wear different shoes for PE.  These should be comfortable trainers which also support their feet.  Trainers for PE can be any colour.
