Creating my portrait image

We can use the device camera to capture a portrait image of ourselves.  Make sure you do this with good lighting and stay still.  Take a few shots to get one you are comfortable with.   

Alternatively, you could use a "portrait search" from a CC website like Unsplash. 

You will need to add all the elements to the face on separate layers.

Once you face portrait is complete, SAVE it and then also export it as a PNG.

You will then need to import it into a new project in Inkscape.

To clip an imported image

Draw a rectangle frame around your face.  Select both the box shape and the image behind (using shift and click). Then, go to the Object Menu and select Clip.
