Mr Max - Can I create custom shapes?

Why do Lego sets come with unique pieces?  

Why not always use the same blocks for all designs?

Before we go into the whole design we need to think carefully about the small pieces.  

NB - This will save us time in the future!

Problem

I want to design a building with curved window frames.  

How would you do this?

Think of it like this.  To make our final building unique, we need to create our own set of custom shapes for our design.  A bit like creating our own Lego bricks!

Worked through example...

First, create the crude shape.

Measurements are important!

Next, create the details of the shape.

Use Hole shapes to cut away from the original.

Repeat, for all the detail you want on the shape.

Use your new shape(s) how you like.


Finally, use your new piece to make your design unique.
