Setting Up Safari for Your Media Collection

This lesson is to get us up and running in other applications on the iPad so that we can quickly use the way the iPad is designed.

Step 1: Safari

Safari is the main way you will access the web on the iPad. Here we will understand long press on the ‘Windows’ button on the top right, share to airdrop and personalise it so that we can use it in class and still share the device within the Yeargroup.

You can add ONE emoji to your name! Else, we will have 10,000 poop emojis! :)

Step 2: Safari

Once you have made your folder, it’s time to use it. Try finding a website and dragging and dropping this into the folder.

You will need to drop: drive.google.com, outlook.office.com patan.fireflycloud.asia and yours and your class blogs.

Step 3: Sharing

In school, airdrop is the main sharing protocol (protocol is a set of rules for a way to do something) on iOS/ iPadOS. It allows you to see other people’s iPads and is super, super fast.

Step 4: Screen Shots and the Apple Pencil

The images you see here are all screen shots from my iPad. To write on them, you will need the Apple Pencils and to have them charged up.

You will be shown this is class as there is a shortcut with the pencil.

Step 5: Files app.

In here, you will make your own folder that you can share direct with your teachers later on.

Open, go to On My iPad and pull down. Tap the + on the folder add a folder. Name it your name, your class. One emoji only.
