Learning to Screenshot and Share

This first part should take about 10 minutes. The steps are many, however, each one is only a single click.

The second will take about 25-30 mins depending on how long you take annotating your screenshot and typing in Google Classroom.

For students using an iPad, use the screenshot tool with the POWER BUTTON and the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON

Part 1:

Either follow this clip or the slower walkthrough below.

Go to Awesomescreenshot.com

Step 1: Add to Chrome

Step 2: Verify in the Chrome Web Store with the next link

Step 3: Let it install as an 'add extension'

Step 3: Try it out!

Click on the Capture button, then choose 'Capture Selected Area'

Step 4: Screen Shot and draw!

Capture the bit you want and click capture.

Step 5: Add text and drawings

Many tools to use.

From left to right: Resize, Crop, Draw, Shapes, Arrows, Text, Blur, Highlighter, Premium Tools, Colours, Font size, Rotate, Clear and zoom in/ out.

Step 6: Try it all out and test it out!

Click Done and connect your Google Drive

Step 7; Save your annotations.

Step 8: Find this in your Google Drive

Then, click the 'Connect With Cloud Storage' button again and add GoogleDrive

You will be taken through to Google's 'Connect' page:

Allow.

Step 9: Create an Awesome Screenshot Folder for all your Screenshots

Click upload

Step 10: Check your Google Drive Folder you have an 'Awesome Screenshot' folder there.

Part 2:

Skipping your Google Drive and learning to copy and paste a screen shot.

In Awesome Screenshot, you can simply copy your screenshot and paste to a Google Slide (or anywhere to be honest)

Step 1: Make a new Google Slide

Step 2: Go to any web page and capture the screen. Annotate it and paste it into a Slide in your Blank Presentation

Step 3: Paste and save with your Class, Your Name + Screenshot

Step 4: Link to Google Classroom.

Then, find your Google Slides file.

            2. Hi New New, there is no 'Install' button. It says 'Add to Chrome' and it takes you to the Web store to install then. You must be signed in to your school account. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/awesome-screenshot-screen/nlipoenfbbikpbjkfpfillcgkoblgpmj
