Just tested the Aver V320 product. Like the facial recognition, wide angle, optical zoom and built in battery. Good for interviews and Skype in the Classroom events. Bit pricey though.

This video resonated with me on many levels. I'm looking forward to the Deconstructing Devices ECA coming up in block 3. Some of the students have come up to me and mentioned they are looking forward to it :)

New ECA for Block 3: Deconstructing Devices

Deconstructing devices and learning how their component parts make up the whole is a dying art. In this tinkering ECA we will take every-day donated devices and meticulously dismantle them into their fundamental pieces, learning on the tear-down journey how they integrate with each other to make the device work as a whole. We will recycle parts that can be used in other engineering projects, and contact local companies to environmentally dispose of parts that we cannot recycle or re-use. No prior experience is necessary – just a desire and curiosity to find out how things work, sprinkled with some patience and ingenuity. Limited to 10 places only
