It has been lovely to welcome our children back to Nursery for 2022 and also to welcome the new families who have joined us. We have had a great week of learning.

Learning from home- If you have not returned to school you may like to use these ideas to stay connected with our Nursery learning and Teachers.
1.Counting song- Zoom zoom zoom
When we sing this song we encourage the children to count with their fingers.
Can you practice counting with your fingers? You may want to start with counting down from 5 to 1.
You may like to use your fingers to represent numbers to count other things, perhaps your toys or things on your lunch plate.
2. Understanding routines
Our nursery children are beginning to understand the routines of the day, they are learning that things might happen now or at another time.
When we are in school we use visual prompts to help with what is happening and the language first, then and next.
Visual timetable
Can you plan and talk about the things that happen in your day? Your day at home is probably a bit different to the school day but there are certainly lots of routines that you follow. For example; wake up, get washed, get dressed, have breakfast......
What things are the same everyday? What things don't happen everyday?
You may like to question some silly scenarios; Do I have my breakfast at night time? Can I swim in my Pyjamas? We wonder if you can think of some of your own?
3. Choose a book from our story shelves.
Which story did you choose? Why did you choose this story? What was your favourite part of the story? Who is your favourite character? Can you act out the story using your toys?
Our Nursery class photographs will take place on Wednesday 26th January. Please ensure your child is wearing their school uniform on this day.
Our Donation Drive before Christmas was a huge success, here is a letter from the Nursery;
