Can you find pictures of your friends?
These are some ideas for learning at home today. Parents please remember that there is no expectation to complete all of these! Keeping a routine for your child and maintaining contact with school are the most important thing.
Wake Up Song
Being Kind!
Every day grown-ups complete lots of tasks around the house that contain a huge opportunity for children’s learning. Even if you have someone in your house who also helps out with these tasks, it is really important that children can help out too. We promote teamwork, shared responsibility and helping each other. We value independence and encourage children to have a go!
Thai Translation:
Here are a few examples…
Sorting the laundry - develops the language of size, shape and colour.
Watering the plants - promotes understanding of growth, decay and changes over time.
Washing up the dishes - uses lots of fine motor skills and also promotes health and self care routines
Laying the table - supports the application of quantity, encouraging children to understand how much is needed. I wonder if we have enough, or too much?
Making a shopping list - deciding and planning meals and then looking in the cookbooks to follow a recipe. Children love to make their own lists, please encourage the mark making!
Sweeping and mopping the floors - this is brilliant gross motor skill development but also encourages children to think about trip hazards and how to minimise risks!
So much learning in everyday activities. I wonder how many tasks your child can help out with today?

Helping at home video...
ILD prompt: We are looking for children being kind today. There are so many ways that Emily showed her kindness. I wonder how you will choose to be kind today?
Let’s start some new routines at home, where Nursery children are great little helpers!

Snack Time
Is your snack healthy? Can you wash and clean your own bowl/ cup after your snack?
อาหารว่างของเด็กๆดีต่อสุขภาพไหมเอ่ย เด็กๆล้างถ้วยชามหลังจากรับประทานอาหารว่างเสร็จได้ไหมเอ่ย
Song Time
Children love their favourite songs and stories time and time again. This is how they familiarise themselves with the language and melody. Repetition is very important in the Early Years. So here is another favourite!
Story Time
The children in Nursery loved Laura Wall's Visit before school closed. So here it is again!
Lunchtime!
Lunchtime is a great opportunity for your child to lay the table and serve themselves. You could even help by serving others, but remember to ask them first. “Would you like some broccoli too?’
Enjoy your lunch FSN don’t forget to tidy up afterwards too.

Using ILD
ILD is the platform Foundation Stage use for sharing learning. Sending pictures and videos here allows teachers to give personalised feedback on children's learning. A gentle reminder that teachers are unable to provide feedback via email or Teams chat. A parent guide of how to use this platform is in the document below.
We would love you to upload an ILD observation of your child learning today.
Have a wonderful day of learning at home today!
