We are very proud of our children this week for facing the challenge of our Nursery photograph day. We walked across the school campus and climbed the stairs to the primary hall. The children had to hold hands, walk carefully and listen to instructions to keep themselves safe. Then smile for the cameras, well done everyone!
With a shorter week this week we have still managed to fit in some amazing learning;

When our children are busy learning they sometimes get a little messy.
We encourage the children to wear an apron for messy play and painting and they are learning to be independent and responsible for this themselves too.
If you are choosing not to send your child to school next week here are some ideas for learning from home.
1. Waterplay
Playing with water gives our children lots of learning opportunities. Filling and emptying containers explores weight, size and capacity. Using pipes, funnels and other tools allows children to experiment with technology and how things work. There are also opportunities for problem solving and always the use of language to explain what is happening and why.
Fill a tub with water and let your child play.
2. Let’s make music
Have a look around your house to see what you can use to make music. You can make drums and cymbals from pans and lids from the kitchen and use different types and sizes of spoon to make different sounds.
Can you make a slow beat, a fast beat, a quiet sound, a loud sound?
Can you repeat a rhythm? Can you play a beat in time to your favourite song? You could try; Twinkle twinkle, one little finger or if you’re happy and you know it.
Next week we are celebrating Chinese new year. We will have a whole school celebration on Friday 4th February, on this day children are invited to wear traditional clothes, or red and/or gold colours to celebrate this important day within our community.
Here are some more important members of our Nursery team;
Khun Book and Khun Tor our Nursery nannies;
And Khun Mook and Khun Saithong our housekeepers;
Have a lovely weekend
