Feel free to alter the number of items to find to make counting more appropriate for your child.

If your child chooses not to do this task, try to talk about weight, length, capacity, height and or shapes as you go about your day. Point things out that you notice e.g. “I can see that looks heavy, shall I help?” or “If we fill up this bottle, you’ll get a bit more juice.”
