Christmas is coming!

Christmas singalong

On Thursday 15th December (Time to be confirmed) the parents are invited to come to FS2's Christmas singalong. FSP will be busy learning our songs and we look forward to celebrating Christmas with you!

The children are invited to wear red, white or brown to dress up as a reindeer or Santa. Please do not feel you need to buy new outfits, re-using outfits you already have supports our FS spotlight on suistainability. Please see the examples below.

Also, there is no need to provide a Santa's hat or reindeer antlers, we will be making hats and headbands at school. Please send your child's outfit to school on Friday 9th December and ensure all the clothes are labelled.

You might like to listen to our song with your child at home. I wonder if they can remember the words and actions?

Home of Praise

This year we continue to support the children attending Homes of Praise day Nursery. This year we plan to do this by giving specific donations which allow them to continue to provide basic needs for their children. Daily meals and health care ensure that these students are safe in times of need. We will continue to raise funds to support the educational facilities at HOP but for now, the most urgent need is basic resources such as:

To help your child to understand why we are supporting children in more need, it would be great if you could ensure your child knows what you are donating and why. It would be great if you could upload photos or videos from the supermarket when you buy them or the children loading them into the bags /car. You can use SeeSaw to share these.

Phonics

This week we have learnt these sounds:

We are now working hard on sounding out and blending words. Here is a game you might like to play at home, can the children identify the missing initial sound?

Take a look at some of our learning from this week

Wishing you a very happy long weekend and I look forward to seeing you back at school on Tuesday for a super fun and busy final few weeks of term!
