Purpose & Guiding Principles of CSL

Purpose of CSL

The purpose of Continuing Student Learning (CSL) is to ensure that students experience continuity of high-quality learning in line with our Teaching and Learning: Principles, Standards and Practices when they do not have access to teachers and resources while working from a safe off-campus environment.

Whole School Guiding Principles of CSL

In addition to the Learning and Teaching Policy Whole School Guiding Principles, CSL aims to provide:

- both synchronous and asynchronous learning

- learning both on and off devices

- personal connections that maintain relationships and reduce feelings of isolation

- a sense of routine, providing predictability in times of uncertainty

- a platform for timely and needs-based communication, including feedback, to support learning

- clearly articulated safeguarding policies and guidelines for effective and safe online learning.
