Parents as Partners in CSL

We believe that parents have a fundamental role to play in helping their children to learn and actively encourage the participation of parents as partners in learning. We inform parents about what and how their children are learning by providing and creating learning opportunities for parents to support and develop their understanding in how best to support their child(ren) by:

  • a variety of face-to-face (or virtual) communication including workshops, curriculum information, transition and coffee mornings;
  • parent consultation meetings across the year, and parents are encouraged to make an appointment to see the teacher at other times as needed;
  • information through various forms of media and publications, including Firefly, blogs;
  • reporting on progress in all areas of the curriculum, on-going as needed throughout the year, electronically, via telephone and formal reports.

We welcome parents in school wherever possible and highly value the home-school partnership in supporting students.

Please contact the class teacher or subject specialist if you have any questions regarding supporting your child(ren) during CSL.
