A Note from the Principal
A Note from the Principal
6 December 2024
In our Primary School, it really is starting to feel a lot like Christmas! This is my favourite time of year, and I love the excitement as we all look forward to the end of term and the holidays.
Next week, our Mid-Year Reports will be published. As I write this, I am busy proofreading all the Year 6 reports. These reports are a celebration of the learning your child has done this term, and I encourage you to use them as a way to talk with your child about their successes and next steps. All of our Patana Primary students should feel proud of what they have achieved—we certainly are!

Please - no Christmas or New Year Gifts for classmates!
Our children are already very excited about Christmas and the holiday season.
There will be a number of exciting events over the next two weeks.
Please note, we do not allow party bags or other gifts to be given out at school, either for birthdays, or other celebrations.
This includes giving out Christmas gifts to the class, such as small toys and candy-canes.
Our students benefit from a calm start to the day, and giving out presents can be disruptive.
Many Primary Students bring in a gift box for other children in Thailand . This is part of their year group charity work and has our full support.

Charity Christmas Backpacks - Secret Santa … with a “twist”!
Thank you so much for the backpacks that have been sent into school so far. These will bring so much joy to the children that receive these.
If your child has not yet brought theirs in, they still have the weekend to get everything they need.
A21 will be collecting early next week.
Many thanks again

Taking photos and videos of students on Campus
At Bangkok Patana School we welcome parents on to our campus.
As part of this agreement, all parents must agree to our Parents’ Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
This includes:
1. Never taking images in toilets, changing rooms or areas where privacy is expected.
- Using judgement before taking and before sharing images of students.
During a regular school day, parents may only take images of their own child – unless they have sought and received permission from another family to include their child in a group photo.
Family employees with access to the campus must also abide by this rule.
Where and when can parents take photos and videos when on campus?

Events Around the World
You can keep up to date with current events around the world by watching Newsround, an age appropriate news show. Being aware of current events will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class, and it is an ideal opportunity for you to model discussing your opinions and using experiences to draw connections between events and people.
