Well-being
Getting changed after PE
From Monday, Y5 & 6 students can use the changing rooms to get changed into their school uniforms after PE.
On days that your child has PE, please send them to school in their PE kits.
Please send their school uniform into school including plain black shoes so that they can change into it after their PE lesson.
Smart Watches
We encourage children to wear a basic and robust watch to school, with the emphasis on telling the time and developing independence.
Most smartwatches allow for phone and message contact, unsupervised access to the internet, and GPS tracking. Whilst these features are potentially useful in other locations, they are not needed within school.
A much cheaper analogue watch, which helps children develop an understanding of time, is our preferred choice.
If your child does have a smart watch, please set some clear guidelines with your child about which functions can and cannot be used in school.
Dance Academy
The Dance Academy's annual dance showcase better known as the Dance Extravaganza is set to take place on 6th and 7th of June 2022 and the sign up has begun! The academy uses ECA Block 3 & 4 to prepare for the show.
To sign up for the show, students must sign up for Block 3 via parent gateway.
The Academy coaches are committed to creating a wonderful show for both primary and secondary students. The one thing dancers of all levels love and deserve is their moment on stage. Due to covid19, this wonderful opportunity couldn't be made available as we couldn't host this major event for the past two years.
Any ECAs which are cancelled due
to Covid will be refunded as will costume fees if the show does not go ahead.
Just like with all things learning and education, we do believe dance is best
experienced face to face and supporting kids who love dancing/stage to do just
that, whilst still maintaining Covid19 related protocols is our aim this year.
Dance can have a major positive impact on mental and physical health so let's
get moving together!
ATK testing
Remember to submit your child's ATK testing before coming to school on Monday. Please refer to the email from school for further details.

Global Citizenship
Chinese New Year
Unfortunately, we are unable to share a Primary School celebration this year. However, children are invited to celebrate by wearing traditional clothes, (or red and/or gold colours) that celebrate this important day within our community on Friday 4th Febuary.
Events In The World
If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround for a more age appropriate version of current events.
You can also access First News and The Week along with a wide selection of other magazines in our Primary Library. Being aware of current events really will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class.
