Note from the Principal

A note from the Principal

Patana Primary has wrapped up another successful week! School photos were a success, and there is a buzz among students in Years 4 to 6 about the upcoming residentials. We are all looking forward to getting away and thrilled to provide our students with opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. It is a true highlight in our Primary calendar.

In the coming week, we will be sending out a brief parent survey seeking feedback on our new report template. Additionally, do not miss the chance to learn more about our new Drama curriculum in today's edition of Patana News.

FOBISIA Short Story Competition

FOBISIA Short Story Competition

If you have been working on your story for the FOBISIA competition it is time to edit, refine and submit it.

Please remember:

The story should be 500 words or less and a narrative response to the prompt below.

Please send all entries to Mr Max madn@patana.ac.th by Friday 26th January.

Only one entry can be chosen for the competition, but we will compile all entries into a Year 6 anthology.

PE Provision

Unit 2B will begin after residential.

For all PE sessions, students should wear a full PE kit and bring in a their school uniform and black school shoes to change into. Please help us reinforce this message, as we are seeing an increasing number of students without a full uniform after their PE lessons.

For TeeBall, students will need to bring in football boots.

ISAs

ISAs will be held on Wednesday 7th February and Thursday 8th February at 7:40am.

Please ensure your child comes to school with a fully charged device on this day.

If your child will miss any of the test days because of a planned holiday for the Lunar New Year, please add their details here

Catch up days will be on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th February.

Global Citizenship

Events around the world

You can keep up to date with current events around the world by watching Newsround, an age appropriate news show. Being aware of current events will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class, and it is an ideal opportunity for you to model discussing your opinions and using experiences to draw connections between events and people.
