Well-being
End of the day arrangements
We will no longer walk classes at the end of the day.
Your should discuss the following with your child:
- What ECA do they have?
- Where do they have to go?
- How are they getting home?
- What bus number are they taking?
- Who is picking them up?
Where is the meeting point?
Students may walk to the collection point by themselves at the end of the day and after their ECA.
If you parent or your driver is not there and you are running late, please contact your child's class teacher or the Primary Office. Your child must come back to the Primary Office.
Students can wait in the Library until 3:30pm. After that, they will be asked to go to the Primary Office. They cannot wait anywhere else as there is no after school supervision.
Please remind your child about the importance of wearing their mask properly.
Digital Citizenship
Please continue to monitor your child's online behaviours at home:
Learning
CSL Provision
The current Hybrid CSL model will continue until the end of Term 1. At the moment, we wish to support our students’ learning the best we can, but we are moving to a CSL model for the following situations:
- The student’s class/year group is closed for 3 days because of a Covid+ case/s.
- The student is in 14 day isolation because they are Covid+ or a high risk contact.
- The student has been overseas since the beginning of the academic year (August 2021) and is not able to return before 10th January 2022.
The situations in which we will not provide Hybrid CSL for are:
- The student is on holiday or visiting family, including leaving school mid-term to travel.
- The student is generally unwell. This includes symptomatic Covid+ cases. Once the student is well again, for COVID cases, CSL will be provided for the remainder of their isolation period.
If a student is identified as low risk or no risk.
Other circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis.
For queries, please contact the Primary Office: primary@patana.ac.th
Key Stage 2 Residentials
All parents in Years 3-6 will soon receive a letter giving details of the 2022 Residential Programme.
We are currently optimistic that all Primary Residentials will go ahead in Term 2, and therefore our normal planning and preparation is ongoing.
A further letter will be sent out in Term 2 which will include more detailed logistics and our COVID measures when taking students out of school.
Parents will also receive a hard-copy Residential Permission Form early next week.
Please complete this as soon as possible and return to the class teacher.
Patana News is offering students the opportunity to have a piece of their writing published. If your child is interested, they can speak to their class teacher.
Home Learning and Class Blogs
Remember that your child's home learning has been shared via their class blog.
Here is the link directly to the Year 6 blogs.
Global Citizenship
Fundraiser
Please see letter about our Christmas Backpack appeal. Apologies as in our original communication by email to parents, there was an error in the final paragraph.
Events In The World
If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround for a more age appropriate version of current events.
You can also access First News and The Week along with a wide selection of other magazines in our Primary Library. Being aware of current events really will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class.

Birthdays
We are a NUT FREE school. Please when ordering birthday treats double check before bringing treats on the campus. Many toppings offered by some donut shops have flaked almonds in their toppings and peanut butter fillings.
- Individual treats can be brought into school with your child in the morning.
- Please agree a time with the teacher in advance.
- Children will be expected to eat any birthday treats in their classroom.
- Unfortunately, parents can not join in the celebrations.
- Your child's class teacher will however share a photograph with you.
Happy birthday to Daniel in 6P and Arnav in 6J. We hope you both have a wonderful day!
