Possible ideas for snacks you may include: dried and fresh fruit; bread sticks; rice crackers; sandwiches; sticky rice.
Thank you for your support with this.

Learning
PE - Try a new sport
The first 2 weeks back (Monday 10th January – Friday 21st January ) Students will take part in “Try a New Sport“ weeks, where they will be able to choose from a range of activities that they may not have tried before.
Please can all students wear PE kit to school as usual (including hat and water bottle) and bring swim kit just in case they want to choose a water-based activity.
Unit 2b will start the following week, from Monday 24th January (see below).
Important note! All students will require Football boots for their Teeball lesson week beginning 24th January 2022. . Please ensure you have correct fitting boots before their first Teeball lesson.
Home Learning and Class Blogs
There will be no home learning set over the holidays, however students are welcome to use Mathletics and we would love to see some reading journals updated - these can be shared with their teachers whenever they are updated. We do ask that the children read for 30 minutes each day whenever possible.
Here is the link directly to the Year 6 blogs.

Events In The World
If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround for a more age appropriate version of current events.
You can also access First News and The Week along with a wide selection of other magazines in our Primary Library. Being aware of current events really will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class.

Birthdays
Happy Birthday to all the students celebrating their birthdays during the holidays and in the first week of Term 2:
Prim (6C); Janice & Chanyu (6D); Kelli & Elizabeth (6H); Medi & Andrew (6J); Philip & Adriano (6S); Zoe, Isa & Finn (6T)
We are a NUT FREE school. Please when ordering birthday treats double check before bringing treats on the campus. Many toppings offered by some donut shops have flaked almonds in their toppings and peanut butter fillings.
- Individual treats can be brought into school with your child in the morning.
- Please agree a time with the teacher in advance.
- Children will be expected to eat any birthday treats in their classroom.
- Unfortunately, parents can not join in the celebrations.
- Your child's class teacher will however share a photograph with you.
