Well-Being
Please remind your child to bring a hat and a water bottle to school with them every day. Over the coming weeks, we hope to spend more time outdoors, and we want to ensure that all of our students are protected from the sun during these times.
Learning
Back to nature
This week, we have started our new unit of learning based on nature. On Tuesday, we had an entry point into the learning which consisted of four activities.
A big part of this unit is appreciating nature and looking at how humans have interacted with it throughout history. We will explore how human processes impact on the environment.
If you would like to support your child with their learning, here are some things that you can do:
- visit the library and read around any of the following topics: helpful and harmful micro organisms, climate change, human and physical processes, global warming, rising sea levels
- watch videos on climate change and try to understand the causes
- follow Greta Thunberg's story - what is she protesting about
- solutions to climate change - what are people doing? What challenges do each solution pose
Global Citizenship
Thank you to all of the parents who worked tirelessly to make this year's International Day memorable. It is a wonderful occasion for students to embrace their own culture as well as giving them an opportunity to learn about aspects of other cultures.
General Information:
Lost Property
Parents and children are encouraged to search lost property before purchasing replacement items.

Birthdays:
Nut free Primary School
For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening.
We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days.
Happy birthday to the Year 6 students celebrating their birthday this week.
