Global citizenship

Being a global citizen - I am aware of what is happening in the world

Learning about the importance of our oceans.

Part of being a global citizen is being aware of what is happening in the world and how our actions have an impact on both people and the environment.

Kirsty Magson from New Heaven Conservation Program visited us this week to deliver a presentation about her program and conservation of coral reefs in and around Koh Tao. She covered these five points:

  • The importance of coral reefs
  • Sea turtle rescue
  • Marine Pollution
  • Responsible Snorkelling
  • What can the students do?

For more information about the conservation program, please follow the link here

Well-being

Celebrating with friends is an important aspect of well-being. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we are unable to have our annual Christmas Assembly. Instead, we have planned a Christmas Spirit Day where students and staff will have a chance to celebrate together in year groups.

In Year 6, we will also have a year group party on Thursday 17th December. Again, due to restrictions, we will not be asking students to bring in any food or snacks for this.

Happy Birthday to:

Pon and Matthew (6D)

We are now pleased to announce that students celebrating birthdays may bring in donuts or cupcakes to share with their class. Please do not send in candles or cakes that need to be cut and remember, NO NUTS!

General information

Parents / Guardians on school campus - COVID protocol

Once the purpose of the visit is completed, we expect that you will leave the school campus immediately. Please refrain from socialising on campus.

A reminder that parents cannot use the school canteens nor the Noodle Bar.  Thanks for your assistance in helping us adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols.

From the start of Term 2, only vehicles with a blue Patana Sticker will be allowed on to the main campus.

Cars with no Patana Sticker must be parked over the road at the Sports Complex car park.
