Can I exercise different areas of my fitness e.g. flexibility, strength, endurance?

Resources: Laptop, A 5 minute timer, a pack of cards

Time frame: 1 lesson (40 minutes)

Warm-Up: 5 Minutes skipping challenge. See if you can skip continuously for 5 minutes.

If you’re looking for inspiration check out this video.

Learning Task: Pick a Card Fitness

    Watch the video above first.

There are 5 different exercise routines.

Each one focuses on a different component of your fitness e.g. strength or flexibility.

    • Choose an exercise slide
    • Start the clock
    • Select a card
    • Perform the exercise the correct number of times
    • Move onto the next card

Don't rush the exercises. Quality is much better than quantity.

Challenge and extend: Increase the amount of time you’re exercising for. For example:

    • Change the timer from 7 minutes to 10 minutes
    • Double the number on the card you select. E.g. if you select the number 8, double it and do the exercise 16 times.

How will I share my learning? Upload a video of yourself performing the challenge to this Padlet (videos have a 10MB limit so try to keep them short).

Remember to look back at your video for your feedback.

Important: For Friday 8th May, you will need a ball (any type will do and if you have different types that would be great). You will also need a balloon for the warm-up.
