Living our values: We are reflective thinkers
17 May 2024
A note from the Principal
Dear Parents,
It’s been a wet week here at Patana! Finally, we have seen the arrival of the annual rains and on Thursday lunchtime, we got to witness a magnificent downpour from our open plan canteen. Of course, this rain has led to some congestion on the roads and do plan extra time to your travels.
Our students have also enjoyed being ‘wet and wild’ during our end of year swim galas. Well done to the students and thank you to the PE team for making this a special event. In the Patana News today, do look out for an article on Madagascar the Musical and I will also be sharing a letter with the staff leavers today.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead.
Sarah McCormack

PSHE lesson this week in Year 5
This week, we took a break from our RSE curriculum to review and explore growth and fixed mindsets. The students were very reflective. They looked at some scenarios, identified the fixed mindset behaviours and reenacted it, changing the elements into a growth mindset.
PE lessons
All students MUST bring their school uniform to change into after the lesson.
Please find attached the PE curriculum for Year 5 students starting W/C 14th May.
