Well-Being

PSHE

Over the coming weeks the students will be 'Celebrating Difference' in their PSHE lessons. They will explore what makes them different but also similar to others and discover the endless learning we can do from each other.

In school we will be looking to identify and celebrate,

"People who include others whilst learning and playing."

Well done to the students pictured below who were nominated by their peers and teachers as ambassadors for our last focus -

"We are celebrating people who try to make our school community a better place."

Learning

Home Learning

Well done to our students who have all been handing in their home learning.

A reminder that Home Learning is set on a Thursday through Firefly. All students receive an email to their Patana email account containing a link.

The students will receive one piece of home learning a week until half term. This will be either Maths, Literacy or Connected Learning. After half term this will increase to two.

If you have any questions about home learning please contact your child's class teacher.

Global Citizenship

Student Environment Council

Our Year 5 students have already started quest to improve the environmental sustainability of the school.

Those involved in Primary SEC delivered environmental material for the year. Each classroom received:

1. A reminder postcard to turn off your lights when not needed.

2. A reminder postcard to turn off the AC when not needed.

3. A battery recycling container.

Student Council

As part of PSHE the students will this week decide on their student council representatives.

This is a great opportunity for students to collaborate on projects across Year 5.
