Well-Being

We are seeing a significant number of students looking and complaining of being very tired.  Our Y4s need 10-11 hours of sleep a night.  With our early morning start, this means that they may need to be in bed much earlier than relatives and friends of the same age around the world.  Please do try to ensure that your child gets the minimum of ten hours.  If they find going to sleep difficult, you could try the breathing technique below with them.

Learning

An appeal for ORT books to be returned!

If your child has any Y3 ORT books at home, please send them in to the Y4 class teacher and we will return them to the Y3s.

Reading Journals

Reading journals will be taken home daily.  These are just for your child to keep a log of what they read.  There is no expectation that they write a response to each book and there is no expectation for parents to sign these journals.  Learning partners will share these each week.

Global Citizenship

Student Council and Student Environment Council (SEC)

This week the Y4 students had an assembly launching these two opportunities.  Students who would like to apply to be a member of the Y4  Student Council have an application form to fill in at home which is due on Monday 9th September.

We will send home the SEC forms next week.

Birthdays

This week we have had the following students celebrating:

4A Matilda [Tilly] 08-September
4C Tatsha 07-September
4T Ramida [Mandy] 08-September
4H Yuveer 08-September
4T Pimpassorn [Prim] 09-September
We hope you all have a super day!
