Literacy Learning - Can I write an introduction?

LI - Can I write an introduction?

Learning task. To write a brief but detailed introduction to your non-chronological report.

How can I share my learning?

  • I can write my introduction down.

  • I can use google slides or a google doc.

Instructions

  1. Look at the 5w examples.
  2. Use the introduction example to write the 5ws you find in the table.
  3. Identify the features on the success criteria from the introduction example.
  4. Write your own introduction.

An introduction is very important because it hooks the reader in and answers the 5ws.

The 5ws are:

Who?

What?

When?

Where?

Why?

Can you spot the 5ws in this paragraph?

The 5ws do not have to be in this order but your introduction needs to make sense when you read it.
