This week, it was lovely to welcome almost 100 parents to our first Parent Partnership session on Tuesday morning. Later in the day, we also hosted our information session on our Thai curriculum. All these sessions are recorded and available on Firefly for you to refer to should you not have been able to attend.

Uniform Reminder – School Shoes
As part of our shared commitment to being Safe, Curious and Kind, we would like to remind families about our school uniform expectations, with a particular focus on school shoes.
Children should wear plain black school shoes or fully black trainers as part of their daily uniform.. Wearing the correct uniform helps children to be safe and appropriately dressed for the school day, supports a positive and purposeful learning environment, and helps create a strong sense of belonging and community across the school.
Thank you for your support in helping children take pride in their uniform and come to school ready to learn.
Playground use before school
Students are not permitted to use any of the climbing or play equipment before 7:30 a.m.
There is no staff supervision in any play area after 2:30pm.
The accompanying adult is therefore responsible for the safe supervision of the child.
We encourage parents and family employees to take children straight home at the end of the school day.
Nut Free Primary School
We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days.
Some treats, such as macarons contain hidden nuts. Please check the ingredients before sending into school. If snacks or birthday treats are found to contain nuts, we will contact you and either dispose of the food safely or ask you to collect and take back home.
Learning
World Peace Day
On Monday 21st September, we will be celebrating World Peace Day. It will be a non-uniform day and we are encouraging the children to wear BLUE coloured clothes. We will be taking part in a variety of activities and lessons on World Peace Day.
No donations are needed for this event.

Birthday celebrations

A huge happy birthday from everyone in Year 2!
We cannot give out party bags or gifts - please keep these for any sort of celebration that you do out of school.
If you would like to send in some birthday treats for your child to share with their class, please arrange a day with your child's class teacher. We will only be able to manage individual items like brownies, doughnuts, or cupcakes.
Class birthday celebrations
We enjoy mini birthday celebrations in class but ask that you pre-arrange a time with the teacher.
Please note, this is a small celebration within the class. It is not a ‘birthday party’ and siblings and friends from other classes are not allowed to attend.
Birthday treats should be small, with minimal plastic wrapping. Please only send enough for your child’s class.
Individual portions such as small brownies, small cupcakes, and half-donuts are easy to give out.
All food sent into school must be nut free.
As school policy, we do not give out party bags, drinks or gifts sent in by families.
Please do not give out any of these items at school as this can cause unintended problems.
Please remember we are a nut-free Primary School and also check with the class teacher for any other dietary requirements of the class.
Temporary Guardianship Form - let us know if both parents are going away and leaving a student with a friend, nanny or a maid.
