Today we went on a trip to Wat kra Tum as part of our learning all about Buddhism in Thailand.
The children really enjoyed the trip on a minibus to the Thai temple. Angus said "It was fun going on the mini bus to the temple."
We took our snack which we ate first at the temple. Then we took part in a several activities at the Temple including:
- Sketching the statues of Buddha
- We gave alms to the monks in the form of small coins.
- We donated tiles for the roof of the temple and we signed the tiles.
- We lit candle and incense sticks
- we put gold leaf on a statue of Buddha
- We gave flowers
- We fed food to the fish in the khlong.
- We folded a lotus flower to make it beautiful
