Science week

The children in 1L, 1G, 1J and 1E have enjoyed being scientists this week as we held a rotation of science experiments in our four classes. we investigated some science problems linked to our favourite fairy tales:

  • Floating and sinking- predicting and testing different materials to make a life jacket for the troll.

  • Forces - pushes and pulls - testing  parachutes for Repunzel.

  • Forces  - blowing over different materials from the three pigs house and thinking about why one was stronger.

  • Cookery - making gingerbread men - watching the ingredients change when mixed and cooked.

The children learned to predict results and record their predictions and final results. We had fun learning during our science week as you can see from our pictures.
