It has been a very busy few weeks in 1E. The children have continued to explore Thailand with a focus on creating leaflets about different aspects of Thailand and learning about Buddhism. The children have found out about life as a monk, had the opportunity to ask a Monk their own question and today we gave Alms to a group of Monks in the Blue Area.
The children have explored the 5 main rules that a Monk follows. These rules are called the 5 Precepts:
- Do not Kill
- Do not steal
- Be honest
- Be healthy
- Look after your family.
The students have started to design a mathematical game for next week's Thai Temple Fair - keep the date in your diary (Friday 15th May at 8:30am).
