Local Networks
The school provides storage space for students on the school network, hosted locally. There are three areas students have access to while on campus:
1) Home folder. Each student has access to a limited amount of storage for school work only. This area cannot be accessed by other students but can be accessed by ICT Teachers.

2) Teachers4Students. Here students can read (but not write) files provided by teachers.

3) Student Temporary Share: Students can save school work here for a limited period of time. This area is cleared of all files and folders at around midnight each Friday. There is no backup of the files saved in this area.

Cloud Networks
All students at Patana have free access to Google Suite and Office 365. In addition to desktop publishing, these platforms offer cloud-based storage solutions called Google Drive (unlimited storage) and OneDrive (1 Tb storage).
As part of the Laptops for Learning programme students are taught how to backup and manage their files in the cloud.
We highly recommend that all members of our community save and backup their files on our network and ideally the cloud storage we provide. Laptops are sensitive devices that should not be used to store large amounts of information.
