Today 6M wrote to me requesting some more info about the recycling options in school. Their email is below. I am always grateful when people share their voice on environmental issues in this way. They have been inspired by their current project (human impact on the environment). In answer to their first question, the Secondary recycling facilities are not being taken away, they are being temporarily moved to the far end of the same corridor where they are now. This is to make way for the new Science Building construction which is under way, and the move is only temporary. In answer to their second question, I will give a full response on Primary School recycling options before their current project ends (before the end of this term).

What are your small steps?

Dear Mr Penstone
We are writing to ask if the recycling bins in secondary are going to be removed. Whilst on an environmental walk around the campus this afternoon, we heard a rumour that the bins are scheduled to be taken away. We were planning to increase our use of them, so this concerns us very much. Hopefully this is a mistake; maybe they are simply going to be relocated. 6M are very proud that Bangkok Patana School offers a recycling service, as this is very rare in Thailand.
Also, do you know anything about the status of the primary recycling bins request? We feel we would make excellent use of them.
If you are unsure about these matters, who else do you think we should contact next?
Many thanks
6M
