1) We watched the video below on how San Francisco is striving to become a zero-waste city add video and used some of the ideas for a discussion about waste management.

2) Then we discussed ideas on how to promote the video below:
1. Dan announced his idea of starting a new energy group in Primary SEC to join with the Secondary Energy group.
2. We then went into our separate groups. The marketing team interviewed them and took some photos.
Today Dan presented to us on why we should switch our bulbs from CFL to LEDs. Take a look at his presentation below:

Permaculture Elective
Throughout this year, Year 10 Permaculture students have been learning how to grow food by using nature as a model. For instance, they have been watching how water flows naturally to see where best to grow plants that require lots of moisture. These lessons will be used to develop the community garden outside the Secondary Office, beginning in Term 1 of the new school year. In preparation, they are decorating old tyres and recycled plastic bottles to use as planting containers.
