Good Morning Everyone!
Wake Up Song!
How have your first few days of imitating traditional tales been? We’ve loved seeing your Gingerbread Man learning and all the fun ways you tell stories on ILD, please keep that coming! Today, we are going to practice imitating another favourite traditional tale, The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Remember, the reason we imitate is to better create quality talk! We learn the language patterns in our favourite stories so well that they become part of our long-term working memory. How can you re-tell the story of the billy goats? Will you use costumes and silly voices? Will you use small toys and construction pieces?
Here is today’s traditional Tale: The Three Billy Goats Gruff:
Here’s another lovely version of the story set to music!
If you’re interested in another challenge, maybe you could build a scene for the billy goats to tell their story? Can you build a bridge for the goats to trip trap over? Make sure it’s strong enough to hold up even the biggest goat! What materials could you use? How much weight can it hold? Good luck!
If you’d like to hear the story in Thai, enjoy Ms Pa’s reading, too!
We would love to see another clip of your storytelling on ILD today!
