We love to see what you are learning at home!
Thank you for sharing your special moments at home. Here are some of them...
Can you find pictures of your friends?
These are some ideas for learning at home today. Parents please remember that there is no expectation to complete all of these! Keeping a routine for your child and maintaining contact with school are the most important thing.

“Today's story is ‘The Gruffalo’. This is a familiar story for the nursery children with brilliant opportunities for repeating words and phrases. “Silly old mouse, don’t you know, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo. We love trying out different voices for the characters and also speaking with rhythm and intonation’

The story has lots of different foods.
Would you like scrambled snake or owl ice cream?
Miss Briony’s favourite food is strawberries. Mrs Carol’s favourite food is noodles. Ms Jane’s favourite food is pavlova.
Snack Time -
Make sure you wash your hands before eating your snack. Experts say washing your hands properly must last for 20 seconds. Sing ‘Happy Birthday’ twice whilst you’re washing your hands, when you’ve finished singing it’s time to dry your hands.
Can you carefully pour your own milk into an open cup?
Can you clean your cup with soapy water?
Physical Development
“Physical development includes fine motor skills where we use the muscles in our shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and fingers. Good fine motor skills enables your child to gain more and more control and coordination of a pen. Developing strong fine motor skills now, is the foundation for building handwriting at later stages of development.”
Try out some dough Disco. Warm up your fingers by trying some dough disco! Use your play dough to try some dough disco to the song ‘if you're happy and you know it”
Draw your favourite food.
How do you hold the pen?
Do you use a three finger grip no longer with a whole hand grasp?
How do you enclose the lines to create spaces?
We would love you to upload an ILD observation of how your child holds the pen to draw and their drawing or describing of their favourite food.
Lunch Time
“Health and self care skills are rooted in independence. We expect children to use their spoon confidently, to drink well without spilling and to have an understanding of how to keep healthy by eating a balanced diet”
Use tongs or a spoon to serve yourself.
Can you try something new at lunch time?
Does it taste sweet, sour, juicy, spicy, creamy or salty?
Have a lovely lunch FSN. Remember to help tidy up after.
Today’s song time is….

Nap Time!
