We have had so much wonderful learning shared from home that we have now created a 'Sharing Our Learning' gallery on the main page so we can keep on adding more!

These are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!

Just as in the Little Role Play project last week, we’ve shown how you can bring skills into children’s play and for these skills to be applied in a meaningful way. Today, you will see our phonics and maths teams demonstrating how to bring these key skills into children's play.

What is your plan today? If you want some ideas, you can look through your friends’ ideas in the class folder, try Ms Gemma’s challenge, or listen to Ms Sarah and Ms Pao read a book called Iggy Peck Architect. Are there any ideas you could use in your design today?

Using blocks, toilet rolls, or a box, can you make a tunnel? What objects can go through your tunnel? If an object gets stuck, how can you overcome this challenge, and get the object through the tunnel? Remember objects might not always go through the tunnel, you might need to help your object go over or around the tunnel too. Enjoy!

เด็กๆมาลองดูสิว่าเราสามารถสร้างอุโมงค์ ด้วยบล็อก แกนกระดาษทิชชู่ หรือว่าจะเป็นกล่อง ได้มั๊ยเอ่ย แล้วมีวัตถุอะไรบ้างที่สารมารถผ่านเข้าไปยังอุโมงค์ของเราได้

แล้วถ้าวัตถุนั้นเกิดติดข้างในอุโมงค์ เด็กๆจะสามารถแก้ปัญหานั้นได้อย่างไร และเด็กๆสามารถเอาวัตถุนั้นออกมาจากอุโมงค์ได้หรือไม่ แต่อย่าลืมนะคะว่า วัตถุนั้นอาจจะไม่สามารถผ่านเข้าไปยังอุโมงค์ได้เสมอไป เด็กๆจะต้องเป็นคนช่วยเจ้าวัตถุของเด็กๆ อาจจะช่วยให้วัตถุนั้น ข้ามอุโมงค์ไป หรือ อาจจะไปรอบๆอุโมงค์ก็ได้ค่ะ ขอให้เด็กๆ สนุกกับกิจกรรมนี้นะคะ

Wellbeing through play: Simon Says

Simon Says is a great game to develop focus, mindful listening and mindful seeing.

When this game is played in English speaking countries it is called Simon Says. Other countries use different names for the leader. In France, he’s called Jacques; in Hebrew, Herzl; in Ireland he’s called O’Grady. In Norway “the King commands,” and in Finland, “the Captain commands.” Do you have a version of this game in your home language?

Rules for the game:

The player who is chosen to be ‘Simon’ tells all the other players what they must do. The players must only follow the instructions that begin with the words “Simon Says.”

For example, If Simon says, “Simon says touch your nose,” then players must touch their nose.

But, if Simon just says, “jump,” without first saying “Simon says,” players must not jump.

After 3 goes the player who is Simon, chooses one of the other players to be Simon.

Give each other instructions on different types of movements. e.g. Simon Says touch your nose. Simon says tap your shoulders. Simon says stamp your feet.

To make it more challenging you could give 2 instructions e.g. Simon says touch your nose then touch your knees, Simon says jump up and down 3 times and turn around.

Or even 3: Simon says bend your knees, clap your hands and nod your head. Simon says wave hello, blink your eyes and jump up and down 3 times.

ไซม่อนเซย์ เป็นเกมที่ช่วยในเรื่องของการใช้สมาธิ การฟังอย่างตั้งใจ การมองอย่างตั้งใจ

ในประเทศที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ เรียกเกมนี้ว่าไซม่อนเซย์ และเกมนี้ยังมีชื่อเรียกต่างๆ กันไปในแต่ละประเทศ เช่น ประเทศฝรั่งเศษ เรียกว่า Jacques

วิธีเล่น

คนที่ถูกเลือกให้เป็นผู้นำเกม เรียกว่า ไซม่อน จะเป็นผู้ออกคำสั่งให้ผู้เล่นที่เหลือต้องปฏิบัติตาม โดยที่ผู้เล่นจะทำตามเมื่อไซม่อนออกคำสั่งที่ขึ้นต้นด้วยคำว่า ไซม่อมเซย์ ... ตามด้วยคำสั่งต่างๆ เช่น ไซม่อนเซย์ แตะจมูก หมายความว่า ผู้เล่นต้องแตะที่จมูกตัวเอง แต่ถ้า ไซม่อน ออกคำสั่งโดยที่ไม่มีคำว่าไซม่อนเซย์นำหน้าคำสั่งนั้นๆ เช่น ไซม่อนสั่งว่า กระโดด ผู้เล่นต้อง ยืนนิ่ง ไม่ทำตาม

หลังจากที่ไซม่อนออกคำสั่งครบ 3 ครั้ง ให้เลือกผู้เล่นคนอื่นๆ ขึ้นมาแทน เผื่อสลับกันเป็นไซม่อน

ตัวอย่างคำสั่งที่ใช้ในการเล่น เช่น ไซม่อนเซย์ แตะจมูก, ไซม่อนเซย์ แตะไหล่, ไซม่อนเซย์ กระทืบเท้า หรือเพิ่มความท้าทายโดยการใช้ 2 คำสั่ง เช่น ไซม่อนเซย์แตะจมูก และแตะเข่า, ไซม่อนเวย์กระโดด 3 ครั้งและหมุนตัว หรือใช้ 3 คำสั่ง เช่น ไซม่อนเซย์ ย่อเข่า ปรบมือ และ ผงกหัว, ไซม่อนเซย์ โบกมือ กระพริบตา โดด 3 ครั้ง
