A Note from the Principal

A Note from the Principal

21 March 2025

Well done to our Year 3 students and teachers on a fantastic Residential in Pattaya! We are always delighted to see them set off and just as happy to welcome them back safely.

We have had a few cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth (HFM) in Primary—this is a common childhood illness that is easily passed to others. Please watch for symptoms like a fever, sore throat, and blisters. If your child is diagnosed, please send the medical certificate promptly to the class teacher or our Nursing team. This helps us coordinate with Health Authorities to take appropriate steps. If a class is instructed to close, learning will continue online via our CSL program. Unwell students should not attend ECAs or events.

Information mornings for Primary Parents March 2025

Dear Parents,

During Term 2B, we introduce age-appropriate RSE units as part of our Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum in Years 1 to 6. These units help children to develop an understanding of their own physical, social and emotional development, and encompass key values such as respect, kindness and consent.

If you would like to hear more about how and what we teach your child, please join us at a parent presentation. Please sign up via the links below.

You may also find these suggestions for talking with your child helpful.

All presentations start at 8 a.m. in the Primary Hall.

All presentations will be recorded and made available to Patana parents.

Global Citizenship

Year 6 Sponsored Run / Walk fundraiser

Thank you to all our families and students that supported us with the Year 6 fundraising event to raise valuable funds for our chosen charity,  A21. The students did an amazing job of running / walking over lunchtime. The atmosphere was wonderful and the children felt incredibly proud of 'putting themselves out' in order to help others.

If you would like to find out more about our chosen charity, please click on the link: A21 | A21

We will share the grand total raised as soon as all sponsorship money has been brought into school.

Please could you remind your child to bring in any funds raised before the deadline of Monday 31st March? Many thanks.

Events Around the World

You can keep up to date with current events around the world by watching Newsround, an age appropriate news show. Being aware of current events will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class, and it is an ideal opportunity for you to model discussing your opinions and using experiences to draw connections between events and people.
