Countdown to Dance Extravaganza Begins
Block 3 ECAs mark the start of the journey towards our annual Dance Extravaganza’s in June. Sign-up for Dance and Drama Academy ECAs in Block 3 to be part of the show!
Just like last year we will have a Junior Dance Extravaganza and a Senior Dance Extravaganza spread over two fantastic nights. Primary students will be involved in the Junior Extravaganza on Monday 8th of June.
Jazz, Ballet, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Cheerleading or Musical Theatre – there is something for everyone.
This is your chance to perform on stage in front of a an audience in full costume and make-up like a professional dancer. Being involved in a Dance ECA is a great way to stay fit, meet new friends and learn new skills.

Learning
Preparing for residential
In order to prepare for our residential, we have organised a practise kayaking session during school hours. Our outdoor specialist teacher will assist us in ensuring that our Year 6 students have the basic skills in place.
Class | Date |
---|---|
6H, 6P, 6J and 6G | 15th January |
6C, 6E, 6F and 6D | 22nd January |
Students should bring their swim kits and a long sleeved rash vest with them.
Students will wear life jackets during all kayaking sessions at school and during our residential. Furthermore, qualified members of staff will be with students at all times. The water during residential is very shallow.
PE lessons
Happy New Year from the Primary PE team!
Year 6 have been enjoying their “Try a New Sport” activities this week, and this will continue next week (Monday 13th -17th January) as well. A reminder for children to bring their swim kit if they would like to choose a water-based activity.
Our new PE activities will start on Monday 20th January. Please see below for specific classes, activities and days.
All classes will have a Teeball as one of their activities. An important reminder that Teeball requires football boots in addition to their PE kit, water bottle and sun hat!
Volleyball requires PE kit, sports shoes, water bottle and sunhat.
Please note that these activities will continue after February half term .
