We are: Inquisitive and Creative
Our students were delighted to welcome back the surfing scientist, Ruben Meerman, this week. He definitely ignited their curiosity and gets them very excited about science. If you would like to see more of Ruben Meerman and Ian Stewart, please come along to the parent keynote on Monday at 8:00 in the Conference Center (CON 420).

Learning
Welcome Back - Term 2B
We hope everyone had a restful half term break.
In Term 2B the students will continue to explore our learning theme of - 'Rainforests'.
Home Learning will resume on Thursday 5th March after ISAs and residential.
Rescheduled Residential Reminders
On Monday some of our students finally get to experience the fun of residential!
Keep up to date with our residential adventures on the residential blog:

Here are some final messages that we would like to share with our students and parents:
1. All students must wear their Patana PE t shirt for the journey. They will also be given a residential hat on Monday morning.
2. Students must drop their bags off at the front of school in the section marked with their class name (Near School Flag Pole). Please ensure that luggage tags are securely fastened to your child's bag.
3. After dropping their bags off students should follow their normal morning routine and go to their class for registration.
4. Parents or students must give any medication to the school nurse who will be available in the Year 5 shared area.
5. Please check all snacks before sending them into school. We are a nut-free school, and we have also asked students to avoid snacks containing seafood as we have some students with serious allergies.
6. Please can all parents say their farewells before the students climb aboard our buses. This helps teachers count numbers and also will help with a prompt departure.
7. If you are running late on Monday morning, please let your child's class teacher know.

Multi-use Pump Track Survey
A Year 12 student is working on a project to have a multi-purpose pump track built at school. As part of her research she is gathering some feedback from students.
A pump track is a multi-use facility that is designed to develop skills in skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX/mountain biking. Please ask your children to complete the survey below to let her know if you think we should have a facility like this at Patana.
