A note from the principal
This is our last newsletter of the academic year, and that leaves only one thing to say – thank you.
Thank you to our students for the enthusiasm, kindness and determination they bring to school each day. Thank you to our parents for your continued partnership, trust and support throughout the year. And thank you to our incredible staff, whose care, commitment and professionalism make such a difference to the lives of our children every single day.
Wishing the Patana community a wonderful end of term and a brilliant summer break when it arrives!
Sarah McCormack

A message from Ms. Battram
Class lists - August 2026
New class lists will be sent out in the final week of Term 3.
You will be able to click on the link in the letter hear a welcome message from their new teacher.
If you child is currently in Year 1, Year 3, or Year 5, there are no changes to their existing class.
If your child is currently in Nursery, FS1, FS2, Y2 or Y4, they will be placed in a newly mixed class.
Most children will be pleased and excited, but some may feel worried when they see their new class list.
Some will have hoped to be placed with a particular friend - and will expect you to fix the problem for them.
Please support your child in dealing with any initial disappointments, and share any ongoing worries with their new class teacher.
Our teachers are very skilled at helping children to build a new, cohesive class identity.
Online Chat Groups and the Parent Code of Conduct
It is always helpful to pause before posting on a LINE group or similar.
Any queries, especially when new class lists are shared, should be shared with the class teacher.
We sometimes see comments being shared on line groups that refer to children by name.
This causes significant distress to families. If you read a comment that clearly breaches the Parent Code of Conduct, please post a helpful reminder that parents should go through the correct channels.
The school asks that parents do not breach confidentiality by sharing information about another family or student, except with Patana staff. This includes making comments about another family or student via social media or messaging platforms.
Taking photos and videos of students on Campus
At Bangkok Patana School we welcome parents on to our campus.
As part of this agreement, all parents must agree to our Parents’ Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
This includes:
- Never taking images in toilets, changing rooms or areas where privacy is expected.
- Using judgement before taking and before sharing images of students.
During a regular school day, parents may only take images of their own child – unless they have sought and received permission from another family to include their child in a group photo.
Family employees with access to the campus must also abide by this rule.
Where and when can parents take photos and videos when on campus?
Birthday Treats
Children may bring in a special treat to share with the class.
Please contact the class teacher to arrange a suitable time.
- Brownies, cupcakes, small donuts, and cake slices are easier for your child to give out.
· We do not give out drinks (e.g., bubble tea, sodas)
· Please reduce plastic packaging.
· We do not allow party bags or other gifts to be given out at school, either for birthdays, or other celebrations.
- Please agree a time with the teacher in advance.
- Parents can join in the celebrations.
We are a NUT FREE school. When ordering birthday treats, please ensure that there are no nuts or nut products (such as Nutella or peanut butter) used.
