Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year. Over the next few weeks the Primary PE Team will be providing you with lots of exercise ideas that you can try at home. Today we really want you to focus on how the exercises are affecting your body.

Work hard everyone and enjoy!

Can I describe how my body changes when I exercise?

Resources: Laptop, timer

Time Frame: 1 lesson (40 minutes)

Warm-Up: This short workout will certainly help with your breathing and focus (Breathe Easy). Take your time with this and focus on every breath.

Learning Task: Here are 2 more workouts for you to follow. Have a go at the two of them and see which level you can get to.

Workout 1 - Upper Body

Workout 2 - Solid Core

You’ll need a timer for these and remember quality is better than quantity, so slow down your movements. As you exercise, think about the effect it is having on your body e.g.

- What happens to your heart rate?

- What happens to your breathing?

- How do your muscles feel?

Maybe you could discuss your thoughts and ideas with another member of your family.

Lunch Time (12pm-1pm)

Congratulations to Raman (5K) for being a global citizen! During the holidays he was an 'active volunteer' by collecting litter from the beach in order to care for our coral reefs.

"I am helping to keep my local beach clean."

"Picking up plastic helps the marine life because we don't wash the turtles and fish to get hurt by plastic that shouldn't be there."

We will share more photographs and quotes from your holidays throughout this week so please keep sending them to us!
